Lindy hop
Lindy Hop is the original swing dance and the grandparent of rock & roll, jive and the other jive styles. It developed in the Savoy Ballroom (Harlem, New York) in the late 20s and continued to be popular through the 30s and early 40s. It is named after Charles Lindberg’s solo flight across the Atlantic.
